- The basis for the lawsuit was exceeded glyphosate levels in honey
- The action was dismissed for formal reasons

Traceability is a particularly important issue in the global honey market. Greenpeace Austria has tested the honey range in local supermarkets - a full 50 percent carry the vague labeling "from EU and non-EU countries". The report is calling for a more transparent denomination of origin.

This article from the UK gives a good overview over the most important terms and regulations to keep in mind.
Among other tips they recommend to "buy from a known source (ideally organic or uncultivated land), where the honey is produced by individual bee-keepers who practice balanced bee-keeping".
